Many of my most prized childhood memories while growing up in Iowa involve food. I think back to Thanksgiving, sweet corn days, and other family events symbolized by a home cooked meal. I was lucky that even when times were tough; there was always food for our family to eat.

It is hard to imagine growing up in America being hungry. One in five children in the U.S. struggles with hunger. Kids tell us what hunger feels like:
